... is a great kettle! I brought mine last week when I brought a toaster as I saw it and really liked the look of it and the price. I paid a mere £15 for mine which is great value for a kettle and one of this brand. It comes nicely boxed and packed, great for a wedding present or a house warming gift! Breville JK120 ... is a lovely kettle. We had to go through many kettles to get to this one as many we had before broke, this one is the only one to last us yet! The design is simple but effective and looks good in our kitchen. The illuminated water stays on blue until it is boiled then it changes to red. Whilst boiling the kettle remains fairly quiet which is an advantage and it also boilds quickly. To be totally honest though, I cannot tell any difference between water boiled with a filter cartridge and one without, though some people may tell you the opposite. Breville JK147 ... is by far one of the best kettles I have owned. Everything about it is excellent. The main reason is that the kettle looks great. It s very modern and stylish and will make any kitchen look better. When you press the switch to start boiling the water, the handle and inside the case lights up with a blue glow. This looks really good and although it s a small addition, it s pretty impressive still. The kettle is mainly see through so you can see the water boil, which is another great idea. Breville JK147 ... feature is that the exterior of the kettle remains cool even when the water is boiling away: you can quite happily rest your hand against the side of the kettle without fear of scalding. You can see that the base of the kettle is made from stainless steel, and you would be forgiven for thinking that this area would become very warm when the water is being heated. However, the clever engineers at Breville have sorted this out too. Again, this area remains cool even when the kettle has just reached boiling point.
