Breville VKJ138 ... got this kettle about 4 months ago, i really like this kettle as its so easy to use and i like how it lights up when boiling. it makes up 8 cups of teas max. Its a cordless kettle so easy to use and pour. I got this kettle when it was on sale in sainsburys so i paid £20 for it and was really happy, it also has a toaster to match it which i also have i like breville as they are just basically made and very easy to use with a bit of excitement such as the light changing colour. the only one problem i got with it was that because its stainless steel it gathers up limescale and its very hard to clean as the lid dosent pop up all the way so u cant put your hand in to clean i... Breville JK135 ... do not have and since moving onto a swivel base I have found it alot easier to just plonk it back on and let it do its thing. My down points would be, the button looks a tad scary. Its huge enough and looks funky, but theres a certain looseness to the button that kinda makes me think Hmm this could get a loose connection soon also as we re getting more green with our energy usage, Breville could have really made the marking on the side alot more precise, therefore if I wanted to boil one cup I could, although having it for half a year, I seem to have got that perfected *wink!* All in all based on how beautifully cheap it is for a good name I would really ... Breville VKJ142 ... My dad chose and bought it to replace another Breville kettle. The previous one worked fine but hot water seemed to drip down the front when pouring, which isn t very good. This Hot Cup kettle is very different though and looks not too dissimilar to a coffee machine and it pours the water for you without you having to lift it off the base (it s more of a dispenser really). It has a bright blue light where the button is and the transparent part of the body with the water level indicator also glows blue when you turn the kettle on.
