A Cheap And Reliable Kettle For Your Home

I must admit I will never understand why manufacturers have to end up choosing letter and number combinations for every single device they make. The KJ050RS certainly isn't as catchy as calling it the Bush Boil say. The kettle model I have isn't the red one here but black. Other than that, they are virtually identical. The kettle can hold up to 1.7 litres (although I guarantee you'll never need to use 1.7 litres of boiling hot water unless the taps to your bath decide to go on the fritz!

It's a sleek looking device made out of metal with a see-through water level indicator, so you can see how much you have put in without opening the lid. It looks modern and up to date and will fit in with any other fancy looking kitchenware you have. Boiling is done via the tried and tested form of pushing down the switch below the handle. It lights up as you do this to let you know that it has started to boil the water inside. Mind you, if you haven't already guessed this via the steam and heavy rumbling of water, I doubt a light will do much to alert you. It takes about a minute for the water to boil which is a reasonable amount of time. I certainly haven't heard anyone complaining about it!

The lid is on a hinge which you just pop open with your thumb easily when putting in or pouring water. It's a simple device and every part of it works the way it's supposed to. I've had mine for nearly three years now and I have yet to have a problem with it. It's reasonably cheap to get too so you won't be too far out of pocket if your old kettle decides to die and you need a new one.

Overall I have to say that I am impressed with this Bush kettle and would happily recommend this to anyone who is currently searching for a new kettle for their home. Now does anyone fancy a brew?

a good looking kettle but doesn't last

Wanted a new kettle in red, I first saw this one at a reasonable price and it also had a matching toaster to go with it so I thought yes thats the one I want and I always thought Bush was a good make, how wrong was I. I now wish I hadn't bothered, I have only had the kettle for approximatley 7 months and the join on the spout has come away so it leaks every time you use it which is very dangerous..the colour off the kettle has also started to peel away which is also a hazard if it gets into your drink.. tried taking the product back to the shop with it still being under warranty and they said I had to get in touch with Bush myself to get it replaced ...all in all I would avoid this product at all costs and go for a completely different make
