Advantages: Modern looking, boils fast

Disadvantages: Can get quite grubby as it is silver

We use this kettle at work and there are about 20 people having cups of tea everyday. I find this to be an excellent standard range kettle as it holds 1.7 litres and it has a cord of about one foot long which gives enough room for a small kitchen.

The kettle boils very fast as when I am having tea on my own it only takes about 45 seconds. The boiled water tastes fine too. The kettle can be filled through the spout or by opening the lid and pouring directly into the chamber.

We are in an area of hard water and this can cause a rim of white limescale to form on the inside but luckily with this kettle there doesnt seem to be the amount of limescale compared to our last mode. Hoever the rim does get a white scale on it which needs to be cleared.

The only thing I didnt like about this is that even though its 1.7 litres, when I filled up to the maximum and poured out the water shot out from the spout and this could be dangerous and could possibly burn you if your not careul. Can also get grubby as it is silver.

Good value kettle though that cost Euro45 about two years ago.

Summary: Loses one star due to shooting water when kettle in full to maximum
