When I first bought the kettle, the water I boiled tasted very plastic-y and this really put me off using the kettle as it tasted as though it was full of chemicals. It does say on the instructions that it may taste slightly plastic-y at first but it will soon go away. It did go away in the end, although I wasn't very happy about using it.

After my kettle suddenly broke, I was on urgently in need of a new kettle. However, as I didn't have that much money, I bought the nearest and cheapest kettle available. If I had had more money then I would not have bought this kettle as it is very basic and I would have preferred a more expensive looking kettle rather than this plastic kettle. This kettle is currently available to buy from Argos for £9.99. The kettle is blue in colour and made from plastic. The water 'level' bit is see through, so you can easily see how much water is in the kettle. The minimum amount to boil is 0.5 litres and the maximum is 1.7 litres.
