This kettle was purchased along with the matching toaster, over a year ago when we first moved into our house and had some loyalty card vouchers to spend in Tesco. We exchanged our vouchers during one of their events, so they quadrupled in value to £120. We decided not to be sensible for once, as we rarely treat ourselves, and we bought the matching kettle and toaster, costing around £60 each. I would never have paid this if we'd been paying for it, but as it was technically at no cost to ourselves, I was happy to add a little class to our (still unfinished!) kitchen. The cheapest I've seen these online is around £54 from Amazon, so worth considering if you have any . Read the complete review

Our beloved old kettle blew up about 9 months ago so it was time to choose a new one. Had a look around and for the DeLonghi Icona kettle which stood out and screamed 'PLEASE BUY ME! I'LL LOOK GREAT IN YOUR KITCHEN!" - even tho it was well over what I wanted to pay for a new kettle. A few days later it was sat in the kitchen looking very hansome indeed. It's design is funky yet kind of vintage retro, and best of all it matches our blue quartz worktops. SPEC: It's a really beautiful blue cordless model that includes a handy limescale filter and boasts a 3 layer gloss paint finish, and is generously detailed with chrome. The top lid is completely ... We had been thinking about getting anew kettle for some time, there was nothing particularly wrong with ours but it was starting to get a little clogged with lime scale and even after regular descaling it was looking a little bit grubby. We knew that it did not have long left and that we really ought to start looking so when we were in our local branch of Homebase and we happened to spot a DeLonghi kettle on offer that looked like it was going to match our taste we then looked over at the price in our opinion was really goo we were quick to grab the kettle and take it up to the tills! Here are my thoughts on the DeLonghi Icona Jug Kettle in the fabulous shade of Azure ... Read the complete review

I had my eye on this kettle for a few weeks before I bought it and only did so because I had some gift vouchers for Christmas and thought i should invest in this lovely looking kettle! Its cream colour with brown leather look handle was really impressive and it was a heavy, solid kettle and I figured this would mean good quality. I already have a Delonghi toaster which is still going strong after 11 years so I have no problem with the brand, in fact I think Delonghi are brilliant. I paid £80 for my Icona kettle and even the husband was impressed with its looks, sat well on my worktop and with the cord stored underneath the black base, it was tidy. Its tall and ... I have this kettle and it looks great - it is incredibly smart and adds a great splash of colour to my kitchen. It is very easy to use, water can be poured into the kettke via the main lid and there is a simply switch to flick to make the kettle start boiling. However, although it looks great, there are a couple of glitches which mean I would not buy it again. Firstly, the measure on the side is rather small, meaning it is difficult to see how full the kettle is - I often have to go by weight rather than the measure on the side of the kettle. The other problemm is that when the kettle is boiled, the kettle body gets extremely hot which is not ideal. In terms ... Read the complete review
