I chose this kettle as a wedding present 5 years ago and what great present it has been. It looks stylish, which to be honest was the only reason I chose it. However, since then it has proved to be light weight, reliable and most importantly for me quick. It has been very well used over the 5 years, we are a family of four who use it probably 2-3 times every day and it has never once gone wrong. The only criticism I have is that the lid has never fitted very well, it is too tight so is quiet hard to pull off. This is ok for me but I could imagine that some more senior people may find it difficult.
The cord is also quite short which is ok as long as you can site it near to the plug, from a safety point of view it is excellent as it couldn't be operated near to the edge of the work top.

Summary: Not cheap but lasts a long time
