I have always been obsessed with drinking tea and coffee. Unfortunately my girlfriend never drinks coffee but I eventually convinced her we needed a good kettle for the house. So far we have had the Delonghi kettle for nearly a year and I have used it every single day.
The kettle looks brilliant, a nice shade of red which suits my kitchen well. Sometimes you can get garish colours of red but this shade is pleasant and has stayed that way even though its in sunlight. I also really like the shape of this kettle, it has a nice pear shape with a handle that is smooth and feels good. Overall I love the look of the kettle and this is what Delonghi relies on when selling their equipment.
The actual job of the kettle is to boil some water for my cups of tea! It does the job in a respectable amount of time which is always good to hear. I have had kettles in the past which take ages to boil but this one takes roughly two minutes before it clicks to tell me its ready! I do think that the taste of the water afterwards is slightly metallic. I have checked inside and its fully clean but there is still a taste. I have tested it in other houses and get the same results. However I'm not sure if this is just my kettle or the Delonghi brand. It is not enough to make me take back the kettle as it still tastes good to me.
We bought this kettle for £50, it sounds expensive for a kettle but I like the look of it and it does its job well. Overall I would recommend.
