Advantages: Boils just the amount of water needed

Disadvantages: Leaks when pouring.

bought one of these a few months ago - special offer from Power Gen giving £10 off the £40-odd list price.
first thing we noticed was how heavy it seemed when full, when compared with our old kettle.
It does exactly what it says it should do, ie - boils just the amount of water you need, rather than waste electricity heating up too much. had to make out own marks on the level indicator though as it was shown in cupfulls; surely most people would want it in mugfulls as well?
Our main critisism is that it leaks. the leak comes when pouring; the seal around the filler/reservour does not seal properly, so, as you are only boiling the amount of water that you need you have to fully up-end the kettle each time you pour. This tips the water in the reservoir compartment up against the filler-cap seal ....... which is just not up to the job.
I wouldn't say don't buy one, just be ready to always have a kitchen towel nearby when pouring.

Summary: heats just the water you need, but leaks!
