... bought one of these kettles 18 months ago and within 6 months it had stopped working and it was leaking. I rang the vendor and it was replaced immediately. We are now on kettle number two. And after a year it is now starting to fail....again. This time it is the cinnection between the kettle and the base. We have to wiggle it and keep trying the flick down button. Eco Kettle ... was bought the eco kettle as a leaving present from my previous job. Basically there is a reservoir, which is where the water from the tap goes when you fill it up. You then press the button on top of the kettle to let water into the boiling chamber before boiling the kettle. The water volume scale is in cups, with one cup being 200mls (so nearer to a mug size than a cup, but that is fine, as I always drink from mugs!) then boil the water. Eco Kettle ... really love my Eco Kettle - in fact I m on my second one. It s not the most stylish and once you get used to having to fill the reservoir and then pressing the button for the amount of water you want, it is quite easy to use. So where to start; Firstly it is cordless, which is always an advantage - no more leads trailing over the worktop or not being long enough to reach the mug when you want to pour the water and can;t be bothered to unplug it. The cord is a reasonable length and can be stored underneath the base plate if you are lucky enough to house it right next to a power socket. Secondly - it really does do what it it says it does. You can boil enough for just... Read the full review: Energy Efficiency over style by Surfbabe13 |
