Also, where the handle is positioned, you need to be careful where you put you hand when pouring. The steam often burns your hand, unless you get the right place.
As their is no external gauge to read the water level, you need to take the lid off to check you do not overfil, but the lid is difficult to remove.
Also, I know it has been 2 years, but myself and my partner do not drink many hot drinks, so in my opinion, it should be in good cond...more

I bought this kettle 2 years ago, when me and my partner bought our first house together. I will admit, one of the reasons i bought it, was that it was quite cheap, and also because its sat right next to the matching toaster. I would not recommend this product. We will go with the obvious thing first, as is is stainless steel, you can quite easily burn yourself if you catch your skin on the kettle, it has no insulating properties.
