 ... sometimes I have to apply force to close it! Besides, it is not easy to pour out the water without spilling. I often found myself spilling water around when pouring water out. It is very dangerous considering I am pouring boiling water out! To sum up, I am very happy with this kettle given that it is easy to use and I know how much water I am boiling! If Kenwood can improve on the design on the lid and the pouring mouth, then it will be a perfect kettle....more

I got this kettle by redeeming my points earned from using my credit card so I do not know its market price. While I do not actually "pay" for it, I still think that it's a good buy considering how often I have used this kettle since I got it two years ago. The Outlook The body of the kettle is made of acrylic. You can easily see how much water you have poured in. The other parts (the lid, the handle and the base) are white in colour. It still remain white after using it for two years! (Some of the white plastic products do turn a bit yellowish after years). The kettle develops a leak between the clear body and the white base. This has been reported by a number of users. The user is at risk of being scalded.
