quick and easy!

Advantages: inexpensive, easy to descale, boils small amounts quickly, pretty blue light.
Disadvantages: a bit basic looking, minimum water level is not obvious.
We bought this kettle about 3 or so years ago. Our previous one had broken and we were looking for an inexpensive cordless replacement. We bought this one in Tesco for around £20 and are very pleased with it.
Looks: a bit basic (it's white plastic) but the blue illuminating light is really pretty (yes, I know that's a bit sad!). Unfortunately the light is very attractive to our 2 year old son and encourages him to switch it on which is not ideal as we don't always leave it standing with water in ...
Ease of use: this 1.7L kettle boils small amounts (0.5-1L) very quickly with its' disc element and the said flat disc element is very easy to descale because it hasn't got awkward nooks and crannies like older fashioned curly elements. It has a limescale filter which is removable and so makes it easier to descale. The exterior is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. The only real downside to this kettle is the minimum level marker: it's not obvious where exactly the minimum level is.
Reliability: as I said, we have had this 3 or so years, using it several times a day and have had no issues.
Would I recommend? Yes, I would - it's a good value kettle which boils quickly and is easy to clean/descale.
In case you're interested, here's how I descale my kettle quickly, cheaply and using natural ingredients:
I use 10g of citric acid granules (inexpensive and available from chemists, shops that sell beer brewing kit and also Ebay) dissolved in some cold water, half-fill the kettle and boil it up. Leave it standing for 20-30 minutes and hey presto, your kettle is as good as new!
Summary: a good all round product which is good value but a bit basic looking
