Really Stands Out - Anyone for Tea?
Member Name: SciFighterAlpha
Advantages: Anyone for a cuppa?
Disadvantages: Quick Boil - Not That Quick
Now everyone has a kettle in their home and when mine recently decided to stop working I was looking for a replacement. Now for anyone looking for a quick review can read the following short points which highlight the positives & basic functions.
The specification are as follows;
- 1.6 litre capacity
- Concealed element
- Rapid boil
- Boil dry protection
- Safety cut-out
- Removable limescale filter
- Automatic switch-off
- Cord storage
- Water window
- Illuminated power indicator
Now for a more in depth look.
The capacity has a maximum of 1.6litres and this is more than adequate for an average sized family. One of the best features in this regard is the Water Window which allows you to see clearly how much water is already in the kettle. My previous kettle didn't have this useful tool and leads to the horrible sound of a kettle boiling with little water in it so I was very pleased with the added function of the water window. I know other kettles also have a water window or some kind of system to show the water content inside, however, these windows are usually not a major feature and so can be missed when in a rush. With the Kenwood you always know exactly how much water you have.
I am a coffee and tea lover and so my kettle is usually on the boil several times a day. This kettle is extremely durable and easily able to keep up with the multitude of uses each day & with the quick boil system you are not left waiting for boiling water. Included is a removable limescale filter which I had originaly thought of as useless but have to say that I have since changed my mind. If you live in a hard water area or a location where limescale is a real problem this is definately a selling point.
I would reccomend this product to anyone who is looking for a new kettle, as such an important product in your home there are some consumers who this wouldn't be ideal for. If you have a large family in your home and require a larger capacity then this is of little use. For most this would be a perfect fit for their home, the stainless steel styling is able to improve the look of any kitchen. Definately a must if hard water & limescale is a problem in your area.
