Breville JK112 ... purchased this as a replacement for my old kettle about 4 months ago. I decided to review it as I am not terribly impressed. I purchased it at Argos and I think it was about £24 at the time. This appeared to be at the higher end for normal jug kettle (as opposed to the fancy matching ranges). It is a white kettle with a silver-grey lid and handle and a clear strip up the side so you can see how much water is in there. There is a push button on the top of the handle to allow the lid to open and a switch at the bottom which is depressed to turn the kettle on. Kenwood SJ680 ... purchased this kettle from Tesco Direct around 8 months ago and it is still in good working order. The finish is very attractive high shine steel which looks good in the kitchen and attracts compliments, and it has kept it s looks with very minimal cleaning. It has a good filter which prevents scale from getting into the water. Boiling time is average, not particularly quick but have known slower, but it does make a lot of noise as it boils which is not good for our home layout where the kitchen is part of the living room. The noise is loud enough to make watching TV when boiling the kettle a bit difficult. So I would recommend this kettle as a reasonable and attractive... Kenwood SJM270 ... everyone and welcome to this review! I found this kettle in my local B&Q for the very reasonable price of £9.99! We simply could not resist picking it up at that price. Our old kettle was working just fine but it did not match the other stainless steel appliances in our kitchen. We were so glad to find one so cheap, especially it being a Kenwood. We picked it up and off we went to have a cuppa... Luckily the box was small and easy to carry as we had the last one left and had a few other things to pick up in B&Q on the way.
