Advantages: Great design
Disadvantages: Our first one leaked but the replacement has been fine
It's a great looking kettle with nice clean lines and it wouldn't look out of place in even the smartest designer kitchen.
The built in scale filter by the spout is very handy and stops any limescale getting poured out into your tea. It does need cleaning out occasionally but this is just a case of pulling it out and running it under the tap while giving the filter screen a gentle rub with your fingernail.
We did have problems with the first one we had as it started to leak slightly from the base a few months after the warranty ran out but as we had bought it from John Lewis they replaced it with no fuss and the new one has been happily tending to our boiled water requirements for about 3 years now.
If you want a good looking kettle but don't fancy paying silly money for one of the Porsche design ones then this is a great choice.
