Advantages: Strong, sturdy and comes in gorgeous colours
Disadvantages: A bit heavy when full of water
I received this kettle for Christmas from my mum, so I haven't been using it long! I've had it only 2 weeks, but I use my kettle about 20 times a day to make cups of tea or my babies bottles, so have used it plenty over the last two weeks! I saw this kettle in Dunelm Mill, and loved it when out shopping with my mum, so I'm glad she remembered which one I wanted! A few weeks before Christmas, there was a strange noise in my old kettle, like there was a screw loose so I was in need of a new kettle!
I have got it in plum, which is a gorgeous deep purple colour, which goes with the purple in my kitchen so well. It is really vibrant and looks really stylish. It comes in almost every colour you could be looking for, yellow, blue, orange, white, black, red, green! This kettle also has other matching kitchen accessories which I have got too, like toasters and bins, so everything can match.
This is a traditional style kettle, which I have not seen before myself, until I saw this one. Mine is in stainless steel, and can be cleaned easily with just a damp cloth. It has a big handle across the top of it, which I was worried would be in the way when filling it with water, but it is quite high and my tap fits underneath it perfectly well enough to fill it easily. It is easy to hold and grip, and so easy to pour the water out of. To fill with water it has a silver lid on the top which pulls off really easily, just slightly turn it, and it comes off and slips back in perfectly. It has a ring at the top of it, so you can pull the lid off easily.
This is quite a heavy kettle, even without water in it. I never fill mine to the top, but when half full, it is one of the heaviest kettles I have used. This isn't a problem to me though, it's not far from the base to the tap to carry! I think I would struggle though to hold it under the tap while it was filling up to the top though.
This kettle has a cordless base, which the kettle turns 360 degrees on. It clicks on and off really easily. To turn the kettle on, it has a small lever button at the base of the kettle you just press down, and a red light comes on to show it is on.
You can see your water level too on the outside of the kettle, so you know how much you have put in. It isn't too noisy either, a lot quieter than other kettles I have used, you can't hear it hardly unless you are in the same room. One thing I have noticed is how fast it boils! It is a lot quicker than my old one, which is great when I want to make a baby bottle quickly! It wasn't until I looked back at the manual, that it has rapid boil technology, and it definitely is faster than other kettles.
You can remove the filter from this kettle to clean. I have not had to do this yet, but it looks easy to remove. You just lift it upwards and it pulls out. This kettle retails between £30-£45 if places like Curry's, Amazon, Dunelm Mill, and is definitely worth this amount of money.
This is a great sturdy and stylish kettle which looks so nice in my kitchen. I am really happy with it and will definitely be buying more products in this range, in the same colour, it is gorgeous. It boils my water so quickly, quietly and I can't fault it really except it is rather heavy!
Summary: I love this kettle!
