... have just been to make myself a cup of tea and whilst the kettle was boiling I realised that I hadn t done a review about it! I do find myself looking at things in terms of writing reviews these days - how sad is that? Anyway the kettle we currently have is a Morphy Richards Filtermaster in green to match the kitchen of course! Morphy Richards 43696 ... in a contemporary way (if that makes sense), with a handle on the top of the kettle. The handle is made of black plastic so therefore heatproof. It is almost triangular in shape. It is black in colour and has a water level indicator up the side. The on switch is just below this indicator. The pouring spout is near the top of the kettle and it has a lift off lid which is quite small on top. The Morphy Richards logo is on the front. There is also a light on the front of the kettle below the logo, this lights up green when the kettle is in use. It is cordless and sits on a 360º connector. It s fast and energy efficient also doesn t tip forward when you lift it no matter how full it is so has good design. The water gauge is big which makes it easy to read from both sides also the 360 degree base makes it easy for both right and left handed people. The kettle is black with a neat aluminium type finish which looks cool enough to go in a office or home environment. It has a whistle which can be switched off under the base unit. Morphy Richards 43553 ... have always liked to use water filters so was keen to buy a kettle that encorporated a water filter. I looked through the Argos Catalogue & compaired a few kettles from the various makes with water filters & the kettle seemed to be just what I was looking for- stylish, mid range price & a known make...... I took my new kettle home, followed the instructions re the filter & started making nice cups of tea & coffee. I liked the bright blue light that came on each time you turned on the kettle- a good idea for families with children as I tell my kids to never go near the kettle & when it is boiling the colour is a visual extra reminder to them. ...
