I got one of these kettles as a present for my wedding and after 4 months use it started leaking all over and became quite dangerous to use. I phoned their help line because I didn't have the receipt and got a late reply and offerred same kettle at a reduced price which I thought was not appropriate as my kettle was only 4 months old.

      Disadvantages

Solid, fast boiling, safe, large capacity

I bought this kettle to replace a Morphy Richards Opera, which lasted only 3 months, held 200ml less water and cost twice as much as this Moulinex model.

The Moulinex feels much more solid, it boils really quickly and has a lockable lid meaning it's safer for my 9 and 11 year old children to use. The capacity is as much as you get in a kettle, but is really handy when you want to make 10 cups of coffee (as we often do) or boil water to cook veg, etc.

Never mind what it looks like - a kettle is a kettle is a kettle, it does it's job very well and only cost me £12.99 in Argos.
