... Cucina HD4676 has a limescale filter fitted to the spout. I have very hard water, and the filter does seem to be effective at keeping all those horrid little bits that can float in your tea, making it undrinkable...out (long enough sentence?). The filter pops off for easy cleaning. You can either open the lid (and the manufacturer tells me that the lid is a 'stay cool' lid. Well, I should hope so, too. I am a kettle aficionado. Having grown up in the States, where electric kettles are a real rarity, I was unaware of the wonders of this little electric appliance. Now, I love them, and wouldn't be without. I currently own THREE of these little toys (I'm a terrible hoarder). Well, it's just as well I own more than one.
