One thing you have to remember is that with the Russell Hobbs brand you are always got to be paying above average for it! But for me you pay for what you get and with this kettle I tend to agree.

I recently purchased mine after we got our kitchen done and decided to get new appliances for it. We paid just under £30 for it.

Features & Opinions
--------------------------

It is lightweight, having used other kettles at work, home and friends this seems to be very light in comparison.

The handle is nice and firm, a rubber feel to it makes it comfortable and safe to pick up and use when full of hot water.

The kettle can swivel 360 degree's while on its base, you can spin it around while boiling and fits on the base whatever position it is at.

The power lead from the base unit is not very long but then again I have never built a kettle far away from a power point for this to be a problem.

It is also very fast to boil. Normally the fast boiling kettles can be very loud but I have found it to be on par with most other normal speed kettles noise.

The lid to the kettle is very rigid and can be a little tight to lift if needed. I tend to fill the kettle up with water via the spout, which seems big enough to fill up without any problems. It also feels safe and easy to pour.

The water level reader is under the handle and it easy to read.

The start button is also positioned under the handle and lights up red when boiling. If you wish to turn off the kettle before the water has boiled fully then simply lift up the kettle from the base or flick the power on/off button again.

With Russell Hobbs products they tend to be, very steady, solid and safe. It does not feel like it will break, leak or cause any problems.

It also looks good, is shiny and sleek. Great when in a new kitchen!

The kettle is a basically a plug and play item. Take it out of the box and plug it in. It will work without having to do anything else apart from put the water in it!
