Our Russell Hobbs kettle has been a good buy. It wasn't too cheap at £35 near enough but it hasn't let us down. What I personally like about this kettle is that it has a great looking stainless steel body and I also really like the great curved handle - it looks really classy as it sits in our kitchen and a few people have actually even admired it!

I like the design of this particular kettle and cannot decide if it is a traditonal look or a slight take on a modern look mixed together. I also like the fact that we are able to fill the kettle up from its spout from the kitchen tap - I always personally find this a great thing to be able to do with a kettle and it saves time in having to keep on removing the lid every time you use it.

There is a little blue power light at the base of the kettle which lights up when you use it and it will also take a lot of water (1.6L) and it boils very rapidly indeed. I was most impressed actually with how quickly this kettle does boil, especially in comparision to the one we had been using. I am also happy to report that this kettle comes with a full one year guarantee for peace of mind.

Although the kettle will hold a lot water it does not look overly large on the kitchen top. In fact, it looks quite compact and I also think you should be made aware of the fact that you can buy this kettle in brushed steel if you prefer - though we didn't.

It does not make a great noise when it is boiling either which I personally find a great thing as there is nothing worse than a great noisy boiler thundering away in the background.

Overall a great quality kettle I am really pleased with.
