Living in the southeast with very hard water, just had to buy yet another kettle, so this time went for the Tefal. Has a good water level indicator, although lowest it goes is to 0.7L which isn't great for just being able to boil enough for one cup, but certainy a lot better than lots of the others on the market. The lid opens easily with a soft press button, and inside the kettle the coil is contained beneath the main part of the kettle so that it shouldn't contact with the hard water and make yet more limescale - or at least that's the theory. Switch to turn on / off, easily located on the top of the handle.
Quite a quiet kettle, and seems to boil the water pretty fast. Tefal do note that it has a fast boil, but not sure how this is compared.
Not a cheap kettle, but feels quite substantial when you pick it up, so fingers crossed this one lasts.
