Our Tefal Delfina Gold kettle has lasted six years and it is still going strong. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone especially those it hard water areas. It has a gold plated element and so even though we are in a hard water area we have never had to descale it. It now has a small amount of scale but that is good given that many kettles wouldn't last this long even with regular descaling. There is a clear window on the side so you can see the water level. However you have to be careful pouring it fast when full as the water does tend to come out of the sides of the spout and the hand on the handle can be susceptible to steam from the on / off button on the handle. Overall this kettle has lasted well as it is used quite often and so has proved excellent value for money.
