Advantages: does dispense hat water within seconds

Disadvantages: expensive, need filters every month

wanting to do our bit for the environment my partner went out and bought us a tefal quick cup 'kettle' at £60 from argos it wasnt exactly cheap so we thought it had better be worth it !

initially the fascination of having an instant brew meant that in the first week alone we must have drunk our body weights in tea lol, and yes it did exactly as it should have, put your cup under, press the button and hey presto within 30 seconds a cup of tea :)

it doesnt quite reach boiling point but is certainly hot enough to make a quality cuppa quickly... we found that we could drink the tea quite quickly after making but it soon went cold.

it is very good if you want to use it as a water filtration system for cold water as it also dispenses cold water

the filter cartridge inside needs replacing after 1 month of use, and this is where it let us down, at a fiver a time the cost of this 'kettle' soon adds up, especially as we live half an hours drive from our local town, and we found quite often that shops were sold out of the filters

so yes it has the potential to save energy by only dispensing the required amount of hot water, and save time by doing so very very quickly, but if you have to make a special trip to buy the filters for it then it sort of wipes out all the good you have done

Summary: ideal if you stock up on filters or live in town, especially good if only making 1 cup at a time
