Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Breaks easily, leaks, doesn't boil, very slow
These Kettles have a life of around 3 months... 6 if you're lucky.
Our first Tesco JK12 kettle was fine at first, then suddenly one day, it refused to boil, unhappy with my purchase i took it back to the store and they rightly replaced it, then our second Tesco JK12 kettle did the exact same thing, it would boil intermittently, whenever it felt like it, sometimes it would stop boiling half way through...some times it would just randomly boil on it's own, so again, we took it back, i know it's only £6 but it's just a kettle, how hard is it to heat water?
Anyway, we now have our 3rd Tesco JK12 (they gave it us for free) Which is Boiling well enough so far, but... Leaking! - to pour a drink you have to lift the lid, otherwise you'll get water all over your worktop/sinkboard, this Kettle is just crazy, i think the people in factory named this kettle the JK12 because it is a JK (Joke)
You would be better of purchasing a more expensive £15-£20 Kettle, that's what i plan to do when this one inevitably breaks, it's just so bad.
