Tesco JK07 Jug
Advantages: big lid, easy to fill, good handle, cheap, has lasted over 2 years with heavy use,
Disadvantages: only comes in white, as with all cheap kettles- quite slow, bulky, noisy
I originally bought this kettle in my first year at university for my room in halls as my room was quite far away from the kitchen and you often had to queue to use the kettle as there was only one for 50 people. This was all a bit annoying when all I wanted was a cup of tea, especially during exam time. I noticed this one was only around £5 in tesco and thought that it was well worth it.
-The lid is quite big and easy to open giving you plenty of room to fill the kettle up quickly with ease.
-nice sturdy handle that is easy to keep grip off
-measurement on the side so you can only boil as much as you need (which was useful when I was usually only making tea for one)
-boils reasonably fast for a cheap kettle.
-Cheap to buy
-I've had this kettle for 2 years now and it's still going strong and looks as good as new despite being used alot!
-Only comes in white, which isn't particularly stylish.
- Cheap kettles are never going to boil water very fast- you get what you pay for.
- The kettle is quite bulky.
- Quite noisy
When I moved into my student flat, we already had the argos value version of this kettle but we ended up using my tesco one that I brought with me because it was much faster and easier to use. I would recommend this kettle for anyone who wants a decent kettle at a low price.
Summary: I would recommend this!
