It holds roughly 1 1/4 litres of water which is more than enough for a couple of cups of tea.
It seems to take ages to boil, probably about 5 minutes for a full kettle and about 3 minutes for half full.
The kettle has no wire to it but the base does, i dont know if it is because it is new or just a bad design but the kettle is very reluctant to leave the base behind when you pick it up.

This is the new kettle i have ended up with 3 months ago after my beloved brevil sprang a leak. Although this kettle is not as good as my old kettle its not bad i suppose as kettles go.
