Advantages: practice musical skills

Disadvantages: the sounds produced

this is more of a toy than a musical instrument, despite the cost. The sound range is from angry elephant to scalded cat.

At first I thought is was just the way the children play, but my father, quite a good player, can't get a decent sound out of it.

Also it's quite large, having it's own stand. I'd have prefered on you could put on a table top and store away when not in use.

My one consolation is that my step-daughter took it to her mothers house as we didn't want her playing to disturb the baby.

At leat no one here wants to take up the tuba --- yet!

It is too bad you did not specify which model this is. We have a casio digital piano CPS-7 and the sound is pleasing enough that I can sit in the same room while my son plays it. He has had no lessons and plays by ear picking notes from his favorite songs and replaying them.
