A great organ for both intermediate and professioanl players.

I owed a yamaha EL90-T as my 3rd organ which i bought second hand. I owned it for just over two years and over that time used it extensively trying out and utilizing all of its capabilities both on and off stage. The pros of this instrument are that it has a large LCD screen and is closely comparable with the newer yamaha EL900. It has virtual drawbars that can be used and blended with preset organ sounds to make realisitic 'German' organ sounds such as those used by Klaus Wundlerlich. It is touch sensitive and has many preset buttons as well as an MDR4 disc drive so it is therefore much more useable than previous versions. There is software available from 'Bee Software' for additional sounds as well as to split the keyboards. The portamento feature on this organ is also very handy for creating voice bending effects. The cons are that it is not General MIDI so if you are intending to use it with a computer it is not as user friendly as using a modern day keyboard. It is also a very complex thing to split the keyboards as you have to use software to do this. The best piece f software i came across was from a company called 'Bee Software'. It does not have the new VA voices that the EL900 does but this isnt really a major problem. Although the keyboard detaches from the organ it is not truely portable and is very heavy. The drums are also not very loud and are weak compared to rival makes. They cannot be turned up independently. Overall, this is a great organ and i would highly recommend it for a professional player for on and off stage.
