Advantages: Light, Compact and Ridiculously easy to use

Disadvantages: AA batteries not great! No backlight on typing screen

The alphasmart is a light and portable note taker with a small display screen. The fantastic thing about the alphasmart is that it allows people who aren't so great at hand writing to participate a bit more be it in a lecture, meeting at work or even if you don't have a laptop and want to type something out to put on your desktop computer.

It is ridiculously easy to use, once the batteries are in it is just a case of turning the alphasmart on and away you go! The "Qwerty" keyboard means not getting confused. There are 8 files on the alphasmart allowing you to write up to 8 documents at a time before having to upload the documents onto a computer.

It is also incredibly easy to get your work onto a computer, simply plug in the USB cable, open a word processing programme and click send, then you can sit back and watch your work upload before your eyes.

I use my alphasmart for college classes, I always fall behind taking hand written notes and my handwriting is pretty terrible! So this is perfect as I am a good typer.

I would reccomend them for anyone who doesn't have the best handwriting or just prefers to type.
