WOW... just WOW! (Apple Keyboard)

This morning I received my new Apple keyboard - in fact i'm typing on it at this very moment.

My old unit - Apple's white and somewhat chunkier device, gave up the ghost after some vigorous cleaning. I turned the computer on, and was preparing to enter my password - when up popped the message "No keyboard attached" - when in fact the keyboard was very much attached!

Anyway, the death of the old makes way for the new, and i'm pleased with my new slender wonder.

The product has been completely redesigned and features an aluminum enclosure which looks amazing. The keys are now low-profile and are an absolute pleasure to type on.

Increased functionality has been added to the keys, with controls for both iTunes and 'dashboard' now hidden amongst the 'F' series of buttons along the top.

The device now sports two USB inputs at either side of the unit, which are handy if you've got an array of devices to add to your computer.

The Apple keyboard which I purchased was the wired variety. A bluetooth version is also available, but it costs a lot more, and as I found out with my last bluetooth keyboard (before it broke), it's very battery hungry.

Costing £29 from the Apple store - or cheaper on eBay (although they're actually quite hard to get hold of), the Apple keyboard is fantastic both in design and overall quality.

Another highly recommended piece of kit from Apple, which represents my first 'full marks' review on all criteria - of course if it breaks I can always re-rate ;)
