Advantages: Great design, Sleek, Crisp + Responsive feel
Disadvantages: -
The Apple Keyboard is flawless with everything going for it. The latest version is available as a wired or wireless keyboard costing £28 and £48 respectively. The wired keyboard will link to your Mac through a USB port whereas the wireless keyboard uses bluetooth technology to link to your Mac. The keyboard is thin, practical and very efficient to use.
The keyboard has a smart silver finish made of aluminium, which provides ultimate strength and reliability in the design. The keys are neatly arranged (more to my liking on the wired version), whereas the keys on the wireless version are considerably more packed into a smaller space due to the lack of a numerical keypad. This causes certain keys such as the arrows to shrink in size. The keys have their respective letters or symbols printed on them in a silver paint to give the keyboard a lovely look.
The keys do not stick out above the base of the keyboard much at all, which helps give a lovely feel to typing and allowing you to touch type comfortably. The design of the keys helps to keep the noise volume considerably lower than other keyboards with larger keys when you are typing. It also allows you to skip between keys quickly and efficiently. The keyboard has one green light on the shift button to the left, which turns on when the shift is activated.
To the top of the keyboard is a full complement of keys including those to adjust brightness, volume, eject, play/pause, skip and also document navigation controls and those for Exposé too. The size of the keys is perfect including the space bar, enter key and delete key, which I think is important in any keyboard. The bottom of the keyboard has numerous pads to prevent the keyboard moving when you use it, which works on any common desk surface.
The wired keyboard has a USB port at each end towards the back of the keyboard whereas the wireless keyboard has a power button towards one end. This version requires 3 AA batteries but will conserve power using intelligent power management. The sleek, low-profile keys on both keyboards provide the ultimate typing experience and give a crisp, responsive feel when using them. The wireless keyboard can be used with the wireless Mighty Mouse for the ultimate flexibility and potential with your Mac.
