Advantages: nice design, small so makes room

Disadvantages: caps lock key

I love Apple products and at work I use an iMac and so of course I have the wireless Apple keyboard. I wasn't sure at first about it with it being so small, I thought it looked too delicate. However, after having used it for quite a while now and although my colleague still criticise it, I have to say I have really grown to quite like it and have no real problems with it. Like most Apple products, it has that beautiful sleek design and it just looks modern and really stylish and I like this about the whole keyboard.

APPEARANCE

This Apple keyboard is very small, the exact dimensions, I do not have to hand. It has an isolated keyboard and all white keys are very thing to touch but it is all on an aluminium backing. It is very lightweight with a power button on the side that you can just about notice. Obviously being wireless, you have no issues with dealing with cables all over the place getting tangled and just have the connection. The keyboard is at a slight slant to make it comfortable to type but it really is easy to use.

APPLE WIRELESS KEYBOARD

To set this laptop up is very easy it connects to your iMac and this connection is always very steady I find. However, there have been a couple of occasions upon the start up process where the keyboard has not been active but just moving it a little bit all of a sudden it will connect again and be ready to use. This laptop runs on 2 x AA batteries which isn't really that bad and I find the battery life is great on this keyboard and so far I haven't had any problems with the battery running out.

Being at a slight angle raised on a sort of cylindrical beam is great as it gives it just the perfect slant to lean my wrist on my desk and type very comfortably. The keyboard comes with function keys just to make life easier when using a Mac. These keys cover things such as brightness adjustment, volume, eject, play/pause and a few others which are all very useful, especially the volume one which I get the most use out of. Things like this just speed up the process of using a Mac to make life easier for the user.

There is a power on/off button on the keyboard for times when you are away from the keyboard and want to maintain the battery power. The actual keys are very easy to use, at first you may find you need to type a bit tougher to get the keys to really become effective but I find that it is very touch sensitive and so I type at my normal pace. The keys are well spaced out and clear to see so that you are hitting all of the right keys and that it is moving along as quick as you need to type.

I think if I were to pick any faults with using the keyboard then there is one major on which comes to mind right away. My main negative is the caps lock key, you hit it hard and sometimes three or four times and it will still not go on! Sometimes it works right away but other times it sticks and I am waiting to see the green light but you really have to hit it to get capital letters so now I just use shift to completely avoid it. However, really this is my only main annoyance from using it.

I think personally if you have an Apple computer and want a fantastic wireless keyboard, then you really have to get this. It is a good price and looks the part, being so small and lightweight even just having this on my desk from my previous PC has cleared up SO much space that I feel it looks quite bare now as the Apple keyboard is so minimal and I like that. It is comfortable to type with for long periods of time and it is nice to use, I can't really say much more than that.

COST

if you want to buy this the the UK Apple store are currently selling this for just £57 with free delivery which is a lot or a keyboard but it isn't too bad for Apple.
