I own a wireless keyboard now, but this keyboard served me well in the past and if it weren't for my desire to go wireless this one would still be my nr. 1 keyboard. It is still in use though, just not on my own personal computer, we now use it with our "family" computer.
I bought this keyboard a million computer years ago (in reality about 3 years ago) along with my new PC. This keyboard was not something I planned to buy, I was picking the right PC for some time but as far as mouse and keyboard go I just bought what was in stock and looked nice enough.
I really liked this one, it is super thin, has a bit smaller design than most others (certainly handy if you are short on space as I usually am - since I am a messy person), has a metallic-blue coloured frame, few hot keys, multimedia keys and a scroll wheel (just as a mouse does - you soon learn the usefulness of this little thing).
Compared to other keyboards this one seems to have a little bit smaller keys (especially the F-keys) but the difference is not that significant when it comes to typing, if you use other flat keyboards you will not have problems using this. I do have problems when switching from regular keyboard to thin one but I get this problem with all keyboards. There is also less spacing between letter keys, arrow keys and numpad making the keyboard, as mentioned before, smaller than the rest.
This keyboard features well 10 hot-keys of which 8 are actual keys and these are;
My Computer (opening My computer window)
Email (opens your email)
WWW (opens your web browser)
Backwards and forward key
Sleep (switches your computer to sleep mode)
Calculator (opens your calculator, you can't imagine how cool this key can be when you need to calculate something quickly and you don't have to go through the whole "Programs" procedure)
Music (opens your media player)
The other two keys are; scroll wheel (used as you use scroll wheel on mouse) and media button (with play, pause, stop and volume modification option)
This is a decent enough hot-key selection, but sure it could have been more.
I was always satisfied with this keyboard, it served me well for all these years and even though it hit the floor numerous times it works perfectly even now. Keys are responsive, it never occurred that a key would not work or would not register that I pressed it. It still looks well, except for few scratches which are to be blamed on my carelessness.
There is no problem with installation, you just plug the keyboard in and it works.
The LuxeMate Scroll features silent and sensitive touch with 8 hot keys and multimedia control center to let you freely enjoy Multimedia, Web and Email access with just one-touch control. Additionally, the reduced size with the advanced keyboard stand of the LuxeMate Scroll makes it even ideal for users with limited desktop space. Another great benefit for you is the scrolling wheel, allowing your left hand to have a wheel to turn, balancing your tasks.
