Advantages: No wires!!

Disadvantages: Batteries required

Fairplay, this is one seriously nice bit of kit!

No more wires!! No more restricted mouse movement, no more trying to sellotape the mouse cord under the table to give more slack! No more yanking the keyboard & mouse cables in an attempt to reposition it!! You get the picture!

I bought mine fairly recently at the bargain price of £57.57 from dabs.com (quicklink: G6FWS) and was firstly surprised to find that the better mouseman curvy style mouse included rather than the one shown on this dooyoo page – it’s the one that comes with the pro version & that silly shaped keyboard (which luckily you don’t get – I hate them!). I notice dabs.com have updated their site to reflect this now.

The first things I should point out if you’re considering buying are…
- Somewhat obviously, it’s gonna require batteries – which obviously will need replacing at some point, so make sure you have 2 AA & 2 AAA batteries spare!
- The keyboard doesn’t have any LED lights for Caps, Num etc Locks – instead they are displayed on the taskbar tray (along with another 3 icons which you’ll probably want to disable as it just clutters up the taskbar). This isn’t that much of a problem – but you soon realise just how much you did look at the LED’s before!!
- If your are used to turning on your computer via the keyboard, this one doesn’t support it – that was a bit of pain for me as my PC box is hidden away out of site!

So does it work well? Yes – in fact it works flawlessly!
You have a receiver box which plugs into the mouse & keyboard ports or USB ports. The receiver itself can be tucked away under your desk or something – nicely out of sight & the range is pretty good, I can use mine anywhere in the room, even the next room (useful!).
The keyboard is very good quality & the mouse, although takes some getting used to, soon become
s a can’t do without – it fits the hand perfectly & has a very useful fourth (side) mouse button which (as with all the others) you can set to do various things, i.e. Double click, minimize all applications etc etc.

Of course, I’m now forever loosing my mouse!!! And I have a habit of dropping it!

Still, at a little under £60 for this it’s a bargain & a darn classy bit of kit – I love it (just in case you hadn’t twigged!).
