I purchased this cordless keyboard and mouse for around £70, and I have to say every penny was was worth it. It works by using digital radio technology and can be used up to 2 meters away from your PC. Although I have found it working up to 5 meters away.

Even though the mouse and keyboard come in the same box you would expect the receiver unit to use a single USB port, but you need a spare port for each device.

When you tear open the packaging you will find a very high quality keyboard, which you would expect for this kind of money as well as a fairly good mouse. The let down for the mouse in my opinion is that it uses the old technology of a roller-ball on the underneath, and not the new technology of the optical laser sensor. But I suppose this would have inflated the price further or Logitech would have had to compromise on some of the other features.

Having the freedom of no cables is a great pleasure, this means that you can now do your work anywhere, in bed in the loo, or at the dinner table (providing your PC is close by.)
There a range of feature on the keyboard that let you navigate your computer with a windows shut down button, mute, volume up+down, CD/DVD navigation and open program buttons. But it lacks internet browser functions such a back, forward, etc.
But this is incorporated into the mouse, How? I hear you ask, well by pressing the middle button will bring up a menu for browsing the net efficiently.
A major let down, when you first use the hardware is that you find out there aren't any LED's on the keyboard that would normally indicate a pressed Caps Lock, etc. Instead you can have 3 icons in the bottom right of the start bar. This is irritating and makes your desktop messy. (Well I'm fussy, anyway.)

Logitech have been kind enough to provide you with four batteries. Two for each peripheral so you
can literally plug and play out of the box.

I hope I have convinced you that you are in need of a hardware update. Go on treat your self.
