A fantastic overall package that won't break the bank!

I was given this keyboard/mouse as a warranty replacement for my then defunct Logitech Easycall wireless keyoard and mouse, and I am equally amazed and delighted at this compromise! Mainly because this set is far superior to my old one. On a side-note, this is also testament to Logitech's customer service and determination to ensure customer satisfaction, which I really appreciated.

So, as for the keybaord and mouse, I can only rate them very highly. They are a well constructed pair, with good build quality and attractive design.

The keyboard is very comfortable to use and, having a slightly softer button-set than others, is not as noisy when typing and the impact of each key is noticeably softened. This makes for quiter and less strenuous typing. The key layout is perfectly logical and easy to adapt to, especially the customisable shortcut buttons which, though small, are nonetheless a handy feature once you remember what you assigned to each.

The range of the keybaord, which I have had issues with before, is very good. I can sit on my bed about 10 feet from the receiver and type away with no lag or missed signals. The receiver for the combo is also very compact and comes with its own little USB cradle, nestling nicely on my desk. The receiver is also perfectly simple to connect and synchronize with the unit itself. Though it does require 4xAA batteries (which can be expensive to buy these days, even when investing in rechargeable) is seems very economical, or at least I have not had to change the batteries in over 6 months!

I love the little feature of the mini-LCD display on the keyboard. It is a nice little novelty and could so easily be an annoying power-drain, but has thus far not been so. You can also programme an alarm in, which has proved handy.

Now to the mouse. It is very comfortable to hold and move, highly sensitive to movements (and thus perfectly suitable for gaming) and features a number of useful shortcut/zoom buttons. It also features a battery indicator which glows red when the batteries are low. Even still, the mouse lasts a good few days with regular use after the light first shows without dying outright, so you have plenty of warning. Finally it is relatively light, so you don't have to drag it around as I have had to do with previous mice. By virtue of its 'laser' status, it has a high dpi rating and is thus very responsive to even small movements.

Overall this is a great package; highly sensitive, low power consumption and attractive aesthetics. However, my one criticism would be Logitechs software programme (setpoint). This can take over default functioning, often altering more sensible operations for others e.g. the back button on my mouse no longer triggers a browser to go 'back', or iTunes to 'back-track', which has been the case since I installed the software. It is also quite difficult to navigate or even de-activate. It could do with tweaking to be less dogmatic and autonomous.

Other than that, however, I have been very happy with the set. Although I got this as a warranty replacement, I did investigate at the time and found it to be in the upper price-range, but I imagine this model is considerably more affordable today, especially if you shop around!

      Overall Excellent.

I was always wary about getting a wireless keyboard and mouse due to thinking that the signal would always drop out but this Logitech MX 3200 is excellent. You don't even notice any difference apart from there being no cables, you have 1 USB signal receiver to plug in and that's it, very easy to setup had it working in less than a couple of minutes. The keyboard comes with lots of shortcut keys such as mute, pause calculator and a standby button, it even has VOIP buttons call and hang-up. On the left hand side of the keyboard you can adjust the size of the zoom on the screen. The mouse is also very good and it includes a scroll ball, zoom buttons and back and forwards buttons mainly used for the internet, there is a time and date LCD as well. If you are looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse then this would be an excellent purchase.
