Advantages: its very easy to use, very easy to install and very pleasent to use too.
Disadvantages: the mouse and its constant hunger for( battery) power let it down.
this is an excellent keyboard all in all.
I have to admit buying this on a whim, I bought it because it looked good. Its black with sliver-matt buttons at the top of the keyboard, and the mouse is hold friendly, buttons everywhere and you dont get cramp as a result from using it.
There are different parts to the keyboard, the keyboard itself, which takes 2 aa batteries, the mouse, also takeing 2 aa batteries and the connection tool which plugs into your computer and means everything works wirelessly. Its all very comfortable to use, with a detachable wrist strip, moulded mouse shape and buttons which are easy to reach.
On the keyboard, there are keys for just about everything on your desktop, from the scroll button, play/stop/rewind/ffrd/pause, messenger, webcam... I wont go into too much detail here, its easy to see from the box or websites you visit where its sold. All work seemlessly with my computer system (dell and vista)
The bad points are:
the batteries! in the mouse, they do seem to get eaten up at an alarming rate, if I get the extra power duracell type, (m-3 or something) they last about a week, maybe a week and a half, so I end up haveing to take them out after every use which is a pain and easy to forget. On the plus side, the keyboard batteries seem to last for ages, I only changed mine after about 10 months! and I use my computer for about 8 hours every single day. - dont ever need to take the batteries out of the keyboard.
The keybaord is a very smart black. This can mean alot of cleaning, dust really shows up but its not such a hassel to clean if you flick out all the keys and clean that way.
The wrist support is hard plastic, this is still more comfortable then nothing, but not as good as a softer comfort strip would be.
I also have another issue with the mouse, the buttons are easily pressed, a mixed blessing, its very easy to knock the mouse on the side and loose the page you are on by going backwards, irritating if you have just been typng!
Summary: if your unsure, get it, and you can always use your old mouse if you are as clumsy as me!
