Advantages: keyboard lights up and LCD screen a nice touch
Disadvantages: screen functions are limited at the moment
Logitech G15 keyboard was a recent purchase I have always been into pc gaming I used to have a Razer keyboard and a boomslang mouse. I decided to purchase this after looking at value for money
Logitech have released the "G" series of gaming peripherals , included in this is the G15 gaming keyboard.
On first impressions the keyboard is much bigger than your standard keyboard large desks required , with the possibility of not fitting under desk keyboard pull outs.
Every key is backlit when plugged into the USB , each key lights up blue which when playing at night is so much easier , the light setting for the keys have 3 settings including off.
Based at the top of this keyboard is a rubber lid upon opening shows the built in LCD screen , there are many uses for the screen but my preference at the moment is to notify me when new email has arrived or when in media player seeing whats playing.
Below the screen is the volume settings , usual media keys and four context buttons that are used for the keyboard screen. At the back of the keyboard is 2 1.1 usb ports these are usefull as I have my current mouse plugged into this and a usb card reader when needed.
A neat feature is the ability to disable the windows key when playing games , I have forgot how many times I have pressed the windows key instead of alt / ctrl.
The feature of the G15 is the 18 G keys on the left side of the keyboard these are the easily recordable Macro's , from a simple keystroke or multiple keypresses can be recorded there very easy to configure I have found. They are not limited to gaming for instance u could be wrtiting a simple email , configure it to send , print and archive in one key press thats Neat!.
The overall feal of the keys is responsive not as response as my old razer but still a worthy hardwearing keyboard.
A good gaming keyboard not the best but at the moment a nice new gaming keyboard from Logitech.
Summary: A good gaming keyboard worth a try but be warned expensive
