I bought this from the net thinking it was Logitech's 1st generation internet keyboard - it wasn't.. - Advantages: Great Idea, Media Player controls, 4 Programmable buttons - Disadvantages: 2nd generation has less web functionality, Keys prone to sticking, only 4 programmable buttons

Having decided to replace a few bits and pieces of my system, amongst other things, I decided it was about time I got myself a new keyboard, the keyboard I had was ok, but it was boring and didn't have all these new internet keys and media control keys that the newer ones have and me being the lazy sod I am, I wanted one that had these features. So off I went to PC World in Aintree, Liverpool and took a look around. I was originally going to look for a infra-red cordless keyboard, but I never seen one that appealed to me and some of them were pretty steep cost-wise. Surely the humble keyboard cannot be developed any further? Various attempts have been made to improve upon it, or make it cheaper – the touch-pad keyboard (like a ZX81, remember them?) or various ‘ergonomic’ keyboards, or coloured ones, or, well, a few others. You know. They’re none of them really much better than a keyboard with a basic set of keys on it which, when pressed, make the appropriate letter appear on the screen.
