Advantages: MAC Compatible, The masses of controls, Cheap
Disadvantages: Not quite ready-to-use with Macs
This is Logitech's take on the Internet Keyboard and the first difference you see between this and the Microsoft offering is the design. It's still pretty basic, but the addition of a bit of grey and silver here and there makes it look a little sleaker.
Actually, the first thing you'll notice is probably the price. It's roughly twice as expensive as the Microsoft Internet Navigator, so is it truly worth it?
Well, it certainly is if you're a Mac user, the Logitech is compatible with Apple MacOS X, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, Microsoft Windows XP offering just about anyone the opportunity to get in on the act. Although, some OS X users have reported problems with the fact that it doesn't come out of the box ready-to-use for them, so a little peripheral trickery may be required.
So, what does it have going for it if we're not Mac users? Well, I'll try and find a few things.
Logitech use what they call iTouch buttons (there version of hotkeys, if you are more familiar with Microsoft terminology). The Internet Navigator has an absolute iBucket load of them, too.
As well as these it has a scroll wheel, for quicker document navigation whilst you're still typing. It also has a volume control on there.
The wrist rest goes some way to making your typing or gaming life that much easier. The keyboard itself is a touch bulkier than some other offerings but that really doesn't turn out to be a problem, being a very comfortable keyboard to use.
