Advantages: Stylish, modern design, Comfortable and easy to use, plug and play installation, 10 metre wireless

Disadvantages: Can't actually fault this in anyway!

We all have had that problem with our desktop pc's... Cables, cables and again... more cables! However we are now on the brink of a new age. The age of wireless, I for one hate seeing messy cables, and having to go round the back of a tower to change a piece of hardware or to plug a lead bag in is just such a daunting task... until now.

I've just bought a brand new Logitech Wireless Keyboard (K320) which I bought offline for just under £27. Amazing value for money if you ask me. I bought this as a replacement for my brothers, how can I put it, ancient Packard bell keyboard. I wanted to reduce the amount of leads he could get tangled in so I decided to go wireless, however not being a big fan of wireless devices, I was sceptical.

-Un-boxing Process-

After swiftly arriving I was excited to get the keyboard unpacked and set up. When first opening the box, you can simply pull the keyboard out. The keyboard itself is wrapped in bubble wrap plastic to keep it dust free, and to avoid damage in transit. This is then secured in a white foam mould to stop the device from moving around in the box. Split into another section of the mould is a small square in which the wireless USB device is located. This again is securely wrapped in bubble wrap and tapped into place to avoid damage to this sensitive piece of equipment.

Also included in the box are instruction manuals for set up offering a variety of different language options for more users. Also included in the manual is tips for cleaning, extra functions on the keyboard and how to access them and warranty information.

-Set up-

So I've finished un-boxing the keyboard, and to be honest it looks pretty sweet. A nice black finish to it with a shinny surface. (Please note I was setting this up on a Windows 7 machine)

After starting up the pc I plugged in the wireless device... Because it uses a simple plug and play feature it's very easy to install without any input from you, the user. Then, within about 25 seconds the wireless receiver is installed and ready to use. This is an amazing feat I believe making this a quick and easier device to install and get up and running perfect for even the most beginner computer users.

-The Device-

The keyboard itself comes in a stylish, modern black colour and style. The keys are nicely spaced apart to allow for maximum finger flexibility and comfort when in use, but also allows users of any hand size to use the keyboard with ease. One drawback of this would be that dust particles or pieces of dirt might enter through these gaps however they are securely covered over so it would be hard to actually damage the device this way. But nothing a quick wipe with a drip cloth can't solve.

The wireless end of the device gives a massive 2.4 GHz speed. So you will never be left waiting around when using the keyboard for the response to appear on your monitor. It also has a massive range of 10metres, more than enough for any user. But also good if you want to use the keyboard from another room to scare family members. (Good little trick I've done a few times.)

It's completely Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and 7 compatible which makes this a broad and accessible choice for any pc users and being a plug and play device its perfect for any level of computer usage due to there being no installation necessary.

Finally it is run on 3 AA Batteries, which might sound like a drag of having to change them every few hours. This is certainly not the case! I've been using this for the last few days and still!! Not had to change the batteries, however if you are worried about them failing you can always buy a little AA rechargeable set for under a tenner and simply keep changing them.

-Manufacturer-

Logitech offers a massive 3 years warranty to fix the keyboard if any damages ect happen to the device which I feel is a massive thing from them, however I know people who have used this device for long periods of time and never had an issue with it. But it's nice to know the care is there when we need it.

-Final Opinions-

To me this last keyboard was an excellent buy. Amazing value for money and would recommend this to anyone. Its got an amazing battery life and the sheer power and range of the wireless is brilliant. I personally can't fault it. It even works perfect through a concrete wall, so the power is very outstanding.

The laptop has a black modern style so it can fit in with any desktop theme or desk layout. Its rather quite light weight so holding it in your lap isn't a problem.

Overall I feel this is an amazing keyboard from Logitech. With the added ease of user functionality from adding spaces between keys and slightly dipping the tops of keys for better comfort they have truly done their customer research. I would recommend this to any home or office pc user or for any of use you may need a wireless keyboard for. However this laptop is mainly designed for office/school/home use as it doesn't have any of the added media functionality buttons however that is the only negative point I can say for this keyboard.

Summary: Truly leave those annoying wires behind because once you go wireless with this, you won't go back!!
