I purchased this wireless keyboard to use with my Western Digital HDTV Live (not for pc use) from Tesco at £29.99. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was that it came with a set of Duracell batteries already in the box. I had read other reviews on this particular keyboard and had heard that it had a no nonsense plug and play set up and as I wasn't intending to use it on a PC that was what I was looking for. As you can see from the picture above the keyboard is Black, however what you cant see is that beneath the keys its actually red which gives a nice contrast on the looks of the keyboard. The on/off switch is on the top right hand side with a little LED to let you know when the keyboard is switched on. The keyboard also has a storage area on the rear where the batteries go so that you can take your USB Wireless connector with you in safe keeping.
I plugged the USB into the front of my HDTV Live and was unsure if it was working until I turned it on and tried it out. To my surprise it was working straight away so I can concur with the no nonsense plug and play set-up. I should also mention that I have been using it for around 3 months now and have had no problems whatsoever. With regards to the lifespan of the batteries - the manual for the keyboard states that with general day to day usage the set of batteries should last around 2 years - whether this is the case or not I have yet to find out.
