Advantages: nice to use
Disadvantages: a bit bulky
There I was thinking, "What shall I review for my next opinion?" when suddenly it hit me, not literally but almost. I thought I would review my computer keyboard (sorry about that joke earlier, not my strong point jokes!). The keyboard that I use with my computer is a Microsoft Internet Keyboard, there are many reasons why I got this keyboard including the last one had beer spilt on(among other things) it and it stopped working , and the fact that Microsoft actually make really good keyboards (and mice). For a change something they produce works as well as they say it does, a shame about their software though! ** What Does It Look Like? ** Well as you might imagine it has a normal QWERTY keyboard set-up, but with a few added extra buttons, which give it the power of the Internet! The buttons that you get are shortcuts to the buttons in Internet Explorer and so I assume they will only work with Internet Explorer (although I haven't tried it with another Web Browser). The buttons are Back, Forward, Stop, Mail, Search, Favourites and Web/Home. You also get a few more buttons, which are quite useful, these are My Computer (loads up My Computer), Calculator (loads up the Calculator) and Sleep (puts the computer into Sleep mode). All of these extra buttons are easily accessible and are Green, so they are easy to see. The keyboard itself is kind of bubble shaped, probably to do with ergonomics, but it doesn?t look too bad. The only problem that I have with it is that it is a tad too big for my desk that I use it on, but I'll manage. They keyboard also comes with a detachable wrist rest, don't get your hopes up this is only a plastic thing, however this is nice to use, but again make they keyboard a bit more bulky. ** How to Use the Buttons? ** Press them of course! But you also need to install the software, which comes with the keyboard to get these buttons working. The installation process of this
is very easy, all you have to do is select the language that they keyboard, or yourself, will be using! The software, called IntelliType Pro, doesn't use up much space and runs in the background of your computer, so you don't know its running. ** How is the Keyboard to Use? ** As I said earlier the hardware that Microsoft produce is actually quite good and this keyboard is very nice to use. The keys are easy to press and it doesn't make that really annoying tapping sound (I hope I didn't offend anyone who likes that, it's just that noise drives me mad!). I am glad that I spent a little more on this keyboard as it I very nice to use. ** My Thoughts ** This is a very nice keyboard to use and it was worth spending the extra on it rather than getting a cheap keyboard. This is well worth the money.
