      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Good for desktop computing. Not for gamers and multimedia use from the comfort of the sofa

I needed a wireless keyboard, so I can connect my laptop with my LCD screen and browse the internet or when I am working from home.

When I saw this Microsoft keyboard in Tesco for £19, I could not resist and bought the keyboard.

I was bit disappointed with the look of the keyboard, as I would expect nice finishing from well known brand. I thought that Logitech product was better atleast lookswise. It was very basic matt black color and keys felt like standard £3 tesco value product wired keyboard. The mouse was better than keyboard in terms of feeling and ease of handling. The good thing about the whole package was that it came with expensive energizer batteries instead of cheap alkline batteries.

But then I was further disappointed when I found out that mouse will not work from distance more than 4ft, and keyboard struggles after 5-6 feets. The whole idea of buying the wireless kit was to use it with my LCD screen and from the comfort of my Sofa, and they are atleast 6 ft apart.

So, I packed the keyboard as it is and returned it to Tesco, and they happily refunded my money.

Next time I will do proper research before buying my next wireless keyboard + mouse kit.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Worth the money, but only if you do a lot of computing.

This wireless keyboard and mouse from Microsoft makes working and gaming at your computer so much easier.

It is ok to install, but I had a few problems that I was able to solve myself. Once it is installed both the keyboard and mouse have a long range away from the transmitter that you connect to USB.

However, quite a bit you will get some annoying messages and pop-ups saying that the signal is low or battery is low, sometimes these warnings aren't true.

If you ever loose signal or something happens, it is easy to re sync just by pressing two buttons.

The set is not very expensive so in my opinion it is very good value for money. It also comes with some software that you need to install. It can be difficult to get installed, but it doesn't use much computer resources so will not slow down your PC.
