Designed for left- or right-handed comfort, Wireless Wheel Mouse offers five programmable buttons and an accelerated scroll wheel for efficiency and speed. With more than 250 unique codes and dual-channel reception capabilities, Microsoft Wireless Desktop provides interference-free computing, even if the receiver is out of sight. Users can now avoid desktop clutter while experiencing performance up to six feet away from the receiver. Equipped with two AA batteries, Wireless Desktop operates on a common radio frequency, allowing the user to place the receiver out of sight.

Microsoft Wireless Desktop has two channels so in the rare instance of interference from another device, the user can simply switch channels to continue working unimpeded. Should interference occur, switch the button on the mouse to change the channel. Microsoft Wireless Desktop uses a standard PS/2 connection. The wireless receiver connects to both keyboard and mouse PS/2 ports, respectively. The keyboard requires two standard AA batteries and the mouse two AAA batteries, which are included in the Wireless Desktop package.
