Saitek Eclipse.
This keyboard is legendary. A bit over the top you think? I don't think so. It lives up to that standard by out performing every other keyboard i've ever used. I'm even using it now to type this review out to you!
I used to game professionally in leagues and tournements online and this keyboard never left my side. Combined with my Razer Krait mouse, this desktop setup is lethal when in the right hands.
The keyboard itself comes in black with a neon blue backlight LED under everkey so you can use it in the PITCH black and you won't have any problems if you need to see any of the keys. Another key point to what makes it so successful is the weight. It weighs an awful lot more than all of the other regular flimsy keyboards which is actually a really GOOD thing. It stays in place and doesn't move unless you actually move it with intent. The last thing you want when concentrating on a game is for your keyboard to move and you hit the wrong key. Not good.
This is the first edition of the Eclipse, as the Eclipse 2 is now out but its just as good in my opinion. It costs between £20-£40 depending on where you buy it from and comes with a handy wrist rest if you suffer from RSI or just sore hands/wrists.
It also has some extra buttons, there are 4 in the top right corner just above the keypad. One increases your systems volume, the second decreases it, the third mutes your volume and the last button adjusts the power on your blue LEDs. You have 3 different options for the back light; full bright, dull light or off. I use mine on full bright and never find it glaring or too in your face, it's just right. There are also 3 LEDs at the top middle part of the keyboard for your Number Lock, Scroll Lock and Caps Lock keys.
The keyboard is also USB and is plug-and-play, it doesn't need drivers and syncs up to any computer very very quickly. No more need for the old PS2 keyboards, the USB is much faster.
It comes as standard QWERTY layout and actually has a large full size Enter button, unlike a lot of the newer keyboards which now have a strange small size enter button which makes typing more complicated in my opinion. I prefer the old style large enter keys.
They're also very durable, i've never had a key jam or break, none of the LEDs have ever failed and they're all just as bright as when it was brand new, well over 5 years ago.
If you're looking for a sturdy gaming keyboard or even just a non-flimsy keyboard for normal everyday use, the Saitek Eclipse will make typing comfortable, gaming more simplified and life just that bit easier when using your computer.
Summary: If you have problems with your keyboard, Buy one, You'll never have another problem
