I bought the Avent Isis Breast Pump when I was pregnant with my first son. The brand name drew me to this product, along with the fact that it came in a handy black storage bag and had bottles included.

When I had my son I decided to breastfeed but needed to express some milk so that my husband could help do some of the night feeds. I was very nervous when I began to pump but this pump made it easy for me.

The pump itself fits together relatively easy if you have the instructions or know what you're doing. There is a tiny white piece that stops the pump working if you don't get it in the right place and the right way up which I tended to do quite often, but once it is all pieced together it works like a dream.

The cup that fits around the breast is clear which makes it easy to see what you are doing and that you have got the breast in the correct place, and it feels very comfortable when you use it. The pump is manual so you have to use your hand to do the pump action, which can get tiring if you have to pump for a long time.

The pump fits into the Avent steam steriliser and fits all sizes of Avent bottles.

At round £30 this pump is a must for anybody who wishes to express breast milk.

Summary: Ideal for beginners once you know how to put it together!
