Avent bottle warmer
One of my recent "baby purchases", I bought this so that myself and grandson can get out and about without the hassle of finding somewhere to heat bottles to optimum temperature.
The bag is a Thinsulate insulation bag designed to keep the contents of AVENT bottles, VIA and magic cups either cold or warm for up to four hours. The contents can be cold formula, breast milk and baby food, so really anything you are going to need for baby. It does this because the microfibres trap the air and so insulate the bag.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING.
I have the black version although it is also available in red. The bag is soft and padded with a small zipped front compartment and the main compartment which easily holds two bottles. The bag is insulated with a grey lining both in the main bag and the small front compartment so I feel as though the contents of whatever i put in will keep at the desired temperature.
The bag has an adjustable shoulder strap so that if I have no other bag (unlikely) I can sling it over my shoulder and go. The shoulder strap is strong and although the bag won't be carrying much weight it is well attached at the ends of the strap.
There is the AVENT logo on the front but it's quite tasteful so it's not an embarassing bag to carry about.
The bag comes with a full set of instructions including best methods of carrying formula. One of the things I read after I had used the bag for the first time and carried ready made formula with me is that it's best to carry the boiled water with the formula ready to add. However, carrying the ready made formula doesn't seem to have harmed Little Man.
The bag should be wiped down with a damp cloth and not immersed in water, but if the bottles are securely closed, there should be little or no real leakage and so no need to do anything other than wipe it down.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
I bought mine from Boots for about the £10 mark, which i think is very good value because it's a high quality bag which is not unpleasant to look at and does the job.
MADE BY...
Surprisongly, it's made by Phillips- I would have thought that AVENT would have made the bag, but I was wrong.
The instructions gives a website, www.3M.com/Thinsulate to find out more about these type of products
VERDICT...
A good buy. I have handed it over to mum because she liked the idea and it makes any trips out easier, so will probably be buying myself another one.
The bag does what it promises to do, and keeps his formula at the optimum temperature so we have no need to worry about finding somewhere to heat up his bottles.
Recommended for babies on the go.
Thanks for reading.
